A federal appellate court with appellate jurisdiction is the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. It can be appealed to the United States Supreme Court, and it hears appeals from all of the circuit courts under its jurisdiction.
Atlanta, Gainesville, Newnan, and Rome are the four divisions of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, each with jurisdiction over a specific county.
The Atlanta Division serves these counties: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton and Rockdale.
